Eriogaster catax is a species of moth in the Lasiocampidae family. It is found in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, and Spain.
The wingspan is 14–17 millimetres (0.55–0.67 in).
The larvae feed on Crataegus, Quercus, Betula, Populus, Prunus and Berberis species.
